NWHL Game Format
NWHL games include these elements:

• Recreational ice hockey
• USA Hockey adult rules and guidelines
• One - Two USA Hockey Referees
• No Checking
• 5-minute Warm-up
• Two 18-minute running-clock periods
• 15-minute stop-time 3rd period
• 2-minute period breaks

• No Overtime (except during playoffs)
• Slap shots Allowed
• One timeout during 3 period only
• Automatic Icing
• Two line passing allowed
• Gretzsky (Amanda) rule applies
• Shoot-outs decide play-off overtime ties
